This Week’s Vendors – October 1, 2023

What our full-time farmers are bringing this week:

18th Century Purity Farms* – This week we will be bringing green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts, onions, garlic, an assortment of winter squash (butternut, acorn, spaghetti, buttercup), and fingerling, Bluegold, and All Blue potatoes. We also will have a great selection of Fall apples, with Mac, Cortland, Gala, Macoun and heirlooms Roxbury Russet, Rhode Island Greening, Ribston Pippin, Granny Winkle, Winter Banana, and Irish Peach.

Colgan Farm* – Stop and see Colgan Farms to purchase heirloom carrots, brussels sprouts, red and watermelon radishes, sweet and hot peppers, red and yellow onions, assorted winter squash, pumpkins, gourds, eggplant, and locally sourced hardwood chainsaw carved lumberjack o’lanterns (the pumpkin you only have to buy once!). Friends of the Market will receive $1 off $15 or more!

DeLuca Farm*- This week we will have tomatoes, corn, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, peppers, and eggplant.

Easy Pickin’s Orchard* – For greens this week, we will have romaine, butterleaf, and salad lettuce, Swiss chard, Tuscan kale, red and green curly kale, tatsoi, red and green round cabbage, red savoy, tendersweet and Napa cabbage, celery, collards, and Brussels sprouts. We will also have eggplant, sweet and hot peppers, watermelon, black Spanish, Easter egg, and Chinese half long radishes, hakurei turnips, kohlrabi, beets, yellow, red, and white onions, leeks, red, yellow and plum tomatoes, tomatillos, and cauliflower. For herbs we will have cilantro, parsley, sage, shiso – Japanese mint, dill, and thyme.

Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm* – We will have pastured meats and poultry, turkey salad, chicken, and eggs. 

New Boston Beef* – Steaks, short ribs, brisket, kabob meat, ground beef, sweet Italian and hot Italian sausage, uncured kielbasa, chorizo, and dog bones.

Proctor Hall Farm* –  Pork chops, pork shoulder, pork country ribs, pork spare ribs, ground pork, pork hocks, sweet and hot Italian sausage, chorizo, bratwurst, breakfast sausage, ham steak, bacon, hot dogs and kielbasa.

River Ridge Farm* – Stop and see us for curly and Dino kale, Napa and regular cabbage, black garlic, Pac choi, red and golden beets, broccoli, heirloom, red slicing, and cherry tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, ginger, cut flowers, and collards.

Shenstone Gardens* – We will have large slicing, cherry, grape, and heirloom tomatoes,  broccoli, kale, basil, and white and purple eggplant.

Stonewall Apiary* – Stonewall Apiary will be at the market with plenty of Wildflower Honey. Stop by and try our dark fall honey – an excellent pairing with almost any cheese! And of course we’ll have Honey Butter, Creamed Honey, and a small selection of pure beeswax candles.

Cato Corner Farm – Cheese*- Cato Corner Farm is excited for another Cheese Day!  We have just released our once-a-year batch of Mrs. Robinson, a 9 month aged version of our Womanchego, sophisticated and complex with a sassy bite.  Have you tried Sofia, our creamy Bulgarian style feta?  It is superb tossed with roasted cubes of butternut squash or sprinkled over sauteed shrimp and tomatoes – or mix it in a salad with the last-of-the-season tomatoes or watermelon.  Look for Bloomsday, Aged Bloomsday and Womanchego paired with beer, vodka and bourbon in the barn

Easy Acres Gnomestead – Please visit my booth for roving and combed top wool, hand and-spun yarn, hand spinning tools and spindles, mini looms, hand knitted,crocheted and woven hats, beanies, scarves, shawls, towels, socks, gloves, soap bags, and a table runner.
